When you fill in our contact form or book a consultation, we hold what you typed into it. That is usually:

• Your name and business name
• Your email address and phone number
• Your website address, if you gave us one
• Whatever you told us about your business and what you want the video to do

If we go ahead with a project, we also keep the assets you send us, such as logos, photos, footage and product information, plus the emails and invoices connected to the job. Separately, our analytics tool records anonymous usage data about visits to the site, including approximate location, browser, device and which pages were viewed.

Contact details are used to reply to you, arrange a call, send a concept or proposal, and then to actually deliver the work and invoice for it. Project assets are used to build your video. Records are kept because we are legally required to keep proper accounts. Analytics data is used to see which pages are useful and where the site needs improving.

In data protection terms, we rely on taking steps before entering a contract and performing that contract, on our legal obligations for accounting, and on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and running the website sensibly. We do not use your enquiry to build a marketing list, and we do not sell or rent your details to anyone.

A handful of suppliers process data on our behalf because they run the tools we use. That covers our website host and database, Calendly for consultation bookings, our email provider, Google Analytics, and our accountant for invoicing records. Some of these companies are based outside the UK, so data may be processed abroad under the safeguards their agreements provide.

If you book through Calendly, that booking also sits in Calendly's own system and is covered by their privacy policy as well as ours.

The site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to count visits and measure how pages perform. We do not use these cookies to identify you personally. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site will still work.

Enquiries that do not turn into projects are deleted once they are clearly no longer live, normally within about two years. Client project records and invoices are kept for six years plus the current financial year, because tax law requires it. Finished videos and their working files are kept while they are useful to you, and we will remove them sooner if you ask.

Access is limited to the people who need it to do the work. Accounts are password protected, data is transmitted over encrypted connections, and we do not store card details at any point.

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct anything wrong, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can also object to processing we base on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent where consent is what we relied on.

Email or call us and we will deal with it within one month, usually much sooner. If we get something wrong, please tell us first so we can put it right. You are also entitled to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

Where we link to another website, including video platforms and Companies House, that site handles your data under its own policy rather than ours. We revise this page when our tools or practices change, and the version published here is always the current one.
